About

Artist’s Statement

I’ve always been thrilled with the prism and its ability to reflect and refract light from its surroundings into a kaleidoscope of colors. Fine art does that too – it reflects the view of the artist and seeks to connect by striking a universal cord of the human experience. In making art, I strive for design, drawing, light shifts and color transitions that transport the observer to an experience of ordered delight. Natural rhythms and color are the “root” of my compositions.

The categories on this site are a partial retrospective of work done over the past two decades of teaching. Some of these pieces are classroom demonstrations. The “Recent Works” category shows current work, and is ongoing and available for purchase.
